1:1 Tutoring and Educational Therapy

Looking for reading and writing support for your child?

We offer educational therapy to strengthen reading and writing skills for children in grades K - 5. Specializing in emerging readers, we use a Structured Word Inquiry approach to build a deep and lasting understanding of English spelling and vocabulary to improve reading comprehension. Recent research shows teaching through morphology is more effective than phonics alone, and in particular for students with learning differences.

Our approach, grounded in research and infused with joy, builds skills and confidence by teaching children to investigate words in the same ways they’d investigate the details of a maple leaf or butterfly. Offered in several East Bay area parks, our office or via Zoom!

Hello! I just had to review this wonderful camp! My daughter participated in this camp several years ago and it's still the camp she talks about! The director/lead teacher of this program, Alexis, is a kind, gentle and SMART woman who inspired my daughter to like writing. Ever since this camp, she has thought of herself as a writer. She also loved being outside and looking at different creatures and plants throughout the time. I would HIGHLY recommend this camp to anyone with 1st-3rd graders. Five stars for sure!
