Berkeley CERT (Community Emergency Response Team)

Practicing for emergencies is more fun when you do it together. The more people connect and get ready together, the safer we’ll all be.

The City of Berkeley offers free CERT training to anyone who lives or works in Berkeley.  Curriculum includes disaster preparedness, fire safety, disaster medical operations, and light search and rescue operations, CERT Organization as well as continuing education courses. 

CERT also organizes inclusive, educational events for our whole community, including a yearly citywide exercise, a bi-yearly fair, and numerous smaller events through the year. We hope you'll join us and be a part of a more resilient Berkeley!
