Joyful Learners Family Daycare

I wanted to share just how wonderful our experience has been with Leandra and Brandi at Joyful Learners. 

Our 9mo daughter started care with them in June earlier this year for one day/week while she adjusted to being in a daycare setting. At first she would cry when I left, but that quickly dissipated. Now at almost 14 months old, she beams with excitement on arrival and practically jumps from my arms into theirs. I'm so thankful for the bond she's developed with the ladies, especially Brandi. 

The meals offered are always so impressive and our daughter eats a variety of foods in their care. We get lots of texts throughout the day that shows us she's having a great time, exploring the toys and interacting with other children. 

We could not be more grateful to Leandra for providing our daughter a home away from home. 

Our son started at Joyful Learners when he was 9 months old. Right from the start, Leandra made us feel extremely comfortable and kept us well-informed about our son’s day. Whenever our son experienced regression or showed signs of separation anxiety, she would hold him until he calmed down and kept us updated on his progress. He loves the meals she prepares and remembers her fondly even on weekends.

 Leandra notices the little things, like his favorite toys and comfort items, and ensures they are always available to him. She tailors activities to his interests and developmental stage, making learning both fun and effective. He always comes home with such lovely and thoughtful artwork and often, a new skill! She also supports our son by learning phrases he’s picking up in our mother tongue and repeats it back to him!

Our son has learned so much from the other kids at the daycare and from Leandra herself. She has been incredibly kind to our family, always willing to discuss any concerns we have and support us in the best way possible. You can tell she is a caregiver who truly loves her job and the children she cares for! 

Our son started at Joyful Learners when he was 7 months old. Leandra is attentive and loving and has created a beautiful space for creativity and play. When we drop our son off, he crawls away to play and hardly looks back. One of our concerns was around managing his eczema, but Leandra has been so attentive that we haven't had to worry while he is in her care. 

As a parent, I appreciate that Leandra is a good communicator, organized, and always open to collaborating on everything from feeding to nap schedules. Working with her has felt so much like a partnership. Leandra texts and talks to you when you see her. We have never felt rushed in our conversations as she always seems to give us so much of her time. Her attention to detail shows in the thoughtful touches around her daycare.
