Experienced Teacher/Tutor specializing in Geometry, Algebra, ESL, Writing, and Chinese (Mandarin)

Hello!

I'm an experienced teacher and tutor in the fields of Algebra, Geometry, beginning Chinese (Mandarin), English as a Foreign Language and English Writing for All Levels.

My atypical path, majoring in art and then transitioning to be a math teacher and tutor has equipped me with a unique combination of creative and analytical skills. I specialize in patience, developing individualized curriculum based on student interests and needs, and describing difficult subjects in ways that are easy to understand. I have two master's degrees and I studied abroad in China where I finished at the top of the class in Chinese language and second place in calligraphy writing.

I currently teach Mandarin speaking along with reading and writing simplified characters at a beginning level.

Are you frustrated with tricky grammar or pronunciation? I've helped hundreds of students gain confidence speaking and writing in English!

I have taught at middle school, high school and college levels. I currently hold online sessions on Zoom, Skype, DingTalk or WeChat, whatever works for you! My rates are $100/hr or $50 for 40 minute lessons.
