The Coder School Berkeley: FREE Hour of Code Workshops (Sun, Dec 8)

Computer Science Education Week is held annually in recognition of the birthday of computing pioneer Admiral Grace Murray Hopper (born on December 9, 1906). The Hour of Code started as a way to demystify coding, to show that everybody can learn to code, and to introduce more students to the field of computer science. And as we all know, learning to code can help nurture problem-solving skills, logic, and creativity. Today, The Hour of Code has become a global movement with over 68,000 events in 180+ countries!

As part of Code.org’s movement to help kids all around the world learn to code, they organize annual Hour of Code events during Computer Science Education Week, which is from December 9 through 15 this year. In support of this movement, The Coder School Berkeley is hosting two FREE In-Person Hour of Code Workshops on Sunday, 12/8/24 from 10 am to 12 pm to kick off CSED week.

Sign up for one of our two FREE In-Person Hour of Code workshops (kids ages 7-18) led by our awesome Code Coaches. The in-person workshops will be held at our cool coding space located at 1385 Shattuck Avenue, Suite C (across the street from the CVS parking lot). Our coaches and owners will be available to answer any questions you might have about our programs and how to keep your kids coding.
