W.I.L.D. (Wilderness Immersion and Leadership Development): Enroll Now! Backpacking adventures for teens

WILD is an outdoor adventure, leadership development, backpacking program for teens and young adults. We offer 7-day, and 10-day trips for boys and male-identified youth in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Trips run throughout the summer from mid-June through early August.

Transportation to and from the mountains is provided from a drop off and pick up location in the the East Bay.

WILD takes us to some of the most epic places in the Sierra Nevada mountains. We climb stunning peaks and swim in crystal clear waters. We play games in the woods and go deep sitting in council around the fire. Participants learn to travel safely in the backcountry, manage risk, take care of their gear, and develop real world leadership and executive function skills. Through a variety of nature awareness and mindfulness practices, we develop relationships with the natural world that sustain physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. WILD's unique combination of hard skills training, expressive arts, and rites of passage work fosters a culture of gratitude and resilience that supports transformative personal growth. And we have a lot of fun doing it.
