Celebrate Martin Luther King Day through an inspiring blend of art, science, and movement!

Young dreamers will create illuminating circuits, design story collages, dance with purpose, and collaborate on a vision of tomorrow. Through hands-on projects inspired by pioneering Black artists and inventors, children explore Dr. King's message of hope and change in age-appropriate, engaging ways.

Morning Creativity -Create vibrant story collages inspired by renowned artist Romare Bearden -Design light-up cards using real circuits – connecting to the innovations of Lewis Latimer. Outdoor Adventure Enjoy lunch and field games at Littlejohn Park (weather permitting), with plenty of active play and fresh air.

Afternoon Expression -Learn dance moves inspired by Alvin Ailey's celebrated choreography -Collaborate on our "Dreams for Tomorrow" mural – where every child contributes their vision for the future. Children take home their personal creations plus memories of a day spent celebrating creativity, community, and positive change.
