Start The New Year Out Right! - Join Other Moms & Babies In A Wonderful Opportunity For Support & Connection

Groups For First Time Moms & Groups For Second & Third Time Moms

Six week support groups meet twice a week

Once a week for a facilitated conversation

And

Once a week for an activity or outing - these more casual get togethers really help with making deeper connections and getting more comfortable with getting out and about with your little one

We Plan for these outings during our regular sessions each week

Groups continue to meet after the first six weeks for as long as there is interest - and most groups stay togerther for many years once they begin!

We plan for this during our last formal group session to make the transition smooth

Groups meet in the lovely and comfortable Emeryville offices of East Bay Lactation Associates & Loving Arms Birth and Parenting

Easy free, and unlimited time street parking & it is close to transit

We focus on topics important to new mothers:

Sharing birth, adoption or surrogacy stories; local resources; practical concerns like: sleep, comforting, encouraging development; relationships, communication & sharing parenting responsibiities; returning to work - or not, finding childcare & others caring for your baby; self care, exercise, pelvic floor care; silbing and family adjustment; identity ... and more!

You can find feedback from moms who have done these groups on Berkeley Parents Network & Google Business for Support Group For Mothers

These are the longest existing New Moms Groups in the East Bay

The groups were started more than 40 years ago by Sherry Reinhart in response to her own experience of new motherhood

I did this group when I had my first baby more than 34 years ago and it was the b best thing I did for myself as a new mother and it is why I started to facilitate the groups so more women could have this wonderful source of much needed support
