Montclair Community Play Center (MCPC): Preschool Application Deadline 3/1/25_Tours Still Open

We are excited to announce that we still have openings to schedule tours for prospective families who are interested in enrolling at MCPC for the 2025-2026 school year. Tours available 2/24/25 - 2/28/25.

Established in 1933, MCPC is the oldest co-op preschool in Oakland. We are a vibrant community of 27 families who come together to celebrate both our differences and commonalities. According to our parents and teachers, MCPC emphasizes social-emotional learning through creative problem solving and conflict resolution, as well as a strong anti-bias curriculum. Our kids simply think it’s one of the best places on Earth. 

Children must be 3 by September 2025 to enroll with some exceptions for Fall / Winter birthdays. We also welcome families with children who may not meet the age requirement but would like to find out more about the school.  Children who may not meet the age requirement are required to attend the tour to meet our Director.
