Parenting Through Toddler Tantrums and Development

Using tools drawn from respectful-parenting approaches like RIE® and Hand in Hand Parenting, this workshop will help you understand what your toddler is experiencing, how his or her brain works, and what she or he is developmentally capable of in this tumultuous and tender time. It will also offer you tools for:
- Setting firm but respectful limits (without harshness or punishment)
- Helping your toddler with tantrums and big feelings, and
- Supporting yourself during these intense years.
In addition, you will learn how to lighten your load through a certain kind of play.
These classes always include good time for every parent to ask questions about their specific child or challenges, and we laugh a lot. :) Join us to learn tools that you can start using right away with your toddler—and lean on for years to come.
This workshop will be held on Zoom through Natural Resources in San Francisco.

Caroline Griswold is a respectful-parenting educator and coach. She helps parents find greater joy and connection with their children, and grow into their parenting with grace, insight, and humor. She is passionate about bringing more ease and confidence to parenting, and facilitating respectful communication between parents and children from the start. A lifelong educator, Caroline was inspired to pursue certification in Hand in Hand Parenting and Magda Gerber’s Educaring® Approach (RIE) and after experiencing how these connection-based approaches transformed her relationships with her son and partner.
