Carquinez Garden School: Two-Year-old enrollment!

Our small nature based progressive preschool has openings for children 2 - 5 years-old (children in diapers welcome). 

We believe that children learn best through playful inquiry with ample time outdoors. Learning evolves from the children’s problems and questions as they engage with the world around them. Our pedagogy is rooted in understanding of child development, with an emphasis in social emotional learning, expression through the myriad languages of childhood and days spent playing outside. We maintain a passionate commitment to social and environmental justice, inclusion and equity. Our goal is to provide an educational experience that celebrates the beauty of diversity and models community centered learning. Time spent outdoors is essential to the health of our bodies, minds and spirits. At Carquinez Garden School children work in our garden and harvest their hard earned tomatoes or flowers. They explore the richness of dirt and leaves while deepening their understanding of our environment and developing empathy for the natural world.
