Brain Insights: Information Session PEERS Social Skills Group for Teens

We have a few spots left in our PEERS® social skills groups starting January 29th. 

Register to join a free information session held Wednesday January 8th at 7pm or Monday January 13th at 11am.

PEERS® for Teens Therapy Group:

• Who: Middle & High School Students
• When: Wednesdays from 5:00pm-6:30pm (for Middle Schoolers); 7:00-8:30pm (for High Schoolers)
• Dates: Starts January 29 (14 weeks)
• Cost: $300 per week billed monthly (Scholarships available.)
• Where: Brain Insights Walnut Creek Office (located directly across from Walnut Creek BART Station)

Help your teen build lasting friendships and social confidence through 14 weekly group sessions, where they will learn essential social skills for making and keeping friends. PEERS is an evidence-based social skills curriculum designed for teens looking to improve their ability to make and keep friends. 

In the group, teens will learn the most important skills for friendship while their parents learn how to be social skills coaches. Both parents and teens attend the group for 90 minutes each week for 14 weeks.

• Entering and exiting conversation

• Appropriate use of humor

• Electronic communication

• Choosing appropriate friends

• Good sportsmanship

• Handling disagreements

• Bullying, 

• Hosting get-togethers
