Berkeley Community Tutor: Executive Function, Academic Coaching, & Writing Skills
Berkeley Community Tutor, with lead tutor Kevin Arnold, has provided effective tutoring, coaching, and college counseling sessions for several years – helping hundreds of students successfully realize their academic goals and college dreams.
Currently, I'm accepting new middle, high school, and college students seeking to improve their Executive Function and writing skills and those needing general Academic Coaching. Also, I work closely with parents to help create a variety of micro-strategies and organizational systems for their teens to stay engaged and academically focused.
And, for those high school juniors seeking to start fairly early, I work closely with students on the entire college application process and facilitate the composition of highly effective essays.
Methods:
As a professional tutor, I'm dedicated to helping students learn how to self-direct their educational pathways. With my natural affinity for connecting with students on personal and creative levels, we embark on this academic journey with a sense of flow, fun, and ease. Over time, I've learned that effective coaching and tutoring is more than knowing a subject; it's knowing how to connect with students and teach in a relaxed and engaging way.
