Academic Research: Looking to Learn from Children Diagnosed with ADHD

As a doctoral student from Saybrook University, I am inviting you to participate in my research study aimed at the experience of children ages 6-8 years old who have been diagnosed with ADHD. Participation will contribute to advancing knowledge of children with ADHD.

We are looking for children who:

  • Are between the ages of 6-8 years old
  • Have been diagnosed with and treated for ADHD for at least 6 months 
  • Are aware of their diagnosis and treatment
  • Are willing/able to participate in a short zoom call with their caregiver
  • Are willing/able to participate in an in person focus group with other same-aged children also diagnosed with ADHD
  • Are comfortable speaking/understanding English

As the caregiver, you must be willing to

  • Participate in a short Zoom call with your child 
  • Give consent for your child to participate
  • Be comfortable speaking/understanding/reading English.

This study is designed for a doctoral dissertation being conducted by Rachel Gorham and supervised by Dr. Theopia Jackson who can be reached at TJackson [at] Saybrook.edu. Eligible participants who join the study will receive at $10 gift card to help offset the cost of gas to the location site.
